How to Set Up Email on Your Phone (Outlook/Gmail)

For Outlook (Microsoft 365 or Exchange Users)

  1. Download the Outlook app from the App Store (iPhone) or Play Store (Android).
  2. Open the app and tap "Add Account."
  3. Enter your work/school email address and tap "Next."
  4. Enter your password and tap "Sign In."
  5. Follow any on-screen instructions to allow permissions and sync your emails.

For Gmail (Google Workspace Users)

  1. Open the Gmail app on your phone.
  2. Tap the profile icon (top right) > Add another account.
  3. Select Google if using a work Gmail account, or Exchange for Microsoft email.
  4. Enter your email and password.
  5. Follow the prompts and allow permissions.

Troubleshooting

  • Make sure you have an internet connection.
  • If your email doesn’t sync, try removing and re-adding the account.
  • Some organizations require two-factor authentication (2FA) – check if you need an app like Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator.
