What is the PaperCut Chrome Extension?

The PaperCut Chrome Extension allows you to print from your Chromebook or Chrome browser to a printer managed by your school, office, or organization. Follow the steps below to install and start printing.


Step 1: Install the PaperCut Chrome Extension

On Your Chromebook or Chrome Browser

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Go to the Chrome Web Store by clicking this link:
  3. Click “Add to Chrome.”
  4. When prompted, click “Add extension.”
  5. The extension will install, and you should see the PaperCut icon in the top-right corner of Chrome.

Step 2: Connect to Your Organization’s Printers

  1. Make sure you are connected to your school or office Wi-Fi.
  2. Click on the PaperCut icon in the Chrome toolbar (near the top-right corner).
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to sign in with your school/work account (if required).
  4. After signing in, PaperCut will detect available printers automatically.

Step 3: Print a Document

  1. Open the file or webpage you want to print.
  2. Press Ctrl + P (Windows/Linux) or Cmd + P (Mac) to open the print dialog.
  3. Under Destination, select your PaperCut printer (it may be labeled with your organization’s name).
  4. Adjust any print settings you need (number of copies, color, etc.).
  5. Click “Print.”
