How to Duplicate or Extend Your Screen Using WIN + P

Quick Screen Projection Menu

Press Windows Key + P to open the Project menu. You’ll see four options:

1. PC Screen Only

  • Uses only your main screen. External displays are disabled.

2. Duplicate

  • Clones your screen onto a second monitor or projector.
  • Useful for presentations or mirroring a laptop display.

3. Extend (Recommended for Dual Monitors)

  • Makes your second screen an extension of your desktop.
  • You can drag windows between monitors.

4. Second Screen Only

  • Turns off your primary screen and uses only the external display.

Adjusting Display Settings Further

  1. Right-click on the Desktop and select Display settings.
  2. Scroll to Multiple displays to configure resolutions and positions.
  3. Click Apply to save changes.
